Last year, we specially put an emphasis on the sense of architecture and space through outdoor sculptural installation and a 6h film-screening program. Winter Solstice 2014 ”DISAMBIGUATION” took place on 20th of December at Øvre Fossum Gård.
At the same time than celebrating a natural phenomena of light circles, we are inviting the public to gather around a convivial artistic event, featuring renowned and emerging Norway-based and international artists. The exhibition lasts for one night (starts around midnight) and usually welcome between 150 to 200 people through the night. We serve local and organic food for free.
The Winter Solstice is organized this year by Vandaler Forening, a new art association represented by Hanan Benammar, Martinka Bobrikova, Oscar De Carmen, Andreas Hald Oxenvald, Mattias Cantzler, Bård E. Dahl and Jan Moszumanski – among other cultural practitioners.
